The Rise of Women in Rugby 1st May 6pm
The Rise of Women in Rugby – Q&A event
This summer the eyes of the rugby world will turn yet again to Ireland when the Women’s Rugby World Cup will be hotly contested by 16 countries from across the globe in both Dublin and Belfast.
In the lead up, the Women’s Rugby World Cup Trophy is taking a grand tour of Irish rugby clubs & schools the length and breadth of the Island. As part of the Trophy Tour, Old Belvedere RFC are delighted to be hosting a Q&A evening in the Old Belvedere RFC clubhouse at Anglesea Road on Monday 1st May at 6pm.
The evening will be a discussion of all things rugby, looking at the growth of women’s rugby, predictions for the World Cup and a look to future developments, such as professional contracts. The panel will also touch on various roles held by women in the rugby world such as punditry, refereeing and corporate advisory.
The event will be chaired by ex-Ireland captain Fiona Coughlan and will feature a number of guest speakers, a number of whom are current members of Old Belvedere RFC:
For our Mini members, the trophy will be on display from about 5pm and there will be plenty of photo opportunities!
Come along and join us for what promises to be a fantastic insight into the rise of women in rugby!
This event is free to attend but we would appreciate if you could register your attendance on the Eventbrite link so that we track attendance numbers.
