Thank you to all those who took part in our Club Quiz.


The questions and answers are set out below.


After some controversy the result is a draw between David Lynch and Nially Pelly. Both got 31 correct answers out of a possible 35. Mervyn Feely was one point behind. Ollie was the referee - so his word is final! Lancher and Niall will each get €50 added to their bar cards.

6. Can you name the 2 OBs who have been President of the IRFU? Paddy Madigan and Barry Keogh. 

7. Who is OBs most capped player? Marie Louise Reilly (54 caps). 

8. Karl Mullen was captain of the 1948 Grand Slam winning team. Where was the final match played, who did they beat, what was the score and who was the other Old Belvederian who played on that famous team and who spent the night in jail? Ravenhill. Wales. 6/3. Des O'Brien. 

9. Who was the first OB woman to be capped by Ireland? Cath Evans. 

10. Tony O'Reilly is one of 8 players to have played in 3 decades for Ireland. Can you name the other 7? Syd Millar, Kevin Flynn, Brian O'Driscoll, Gordan Darcy, Cian Healy, Keith Earls and Johnny Sexton.
