Minis Events

We have a busy schedule for our minis every year.


Dates for your Diary:

  • Sunday 4th September 2022 - rugby starts back
  • Sunday 23rd October - Halloween party for younger ages in club house
  • TBC- u9 Overnight Trip away
  • Sunday 11th December – Mini Rugby Christmas Party (last training session of 2022)
  • Sunday 8th January 2023 rugby re starts
  • Friday March 3rd 2023 – OBRFC The Owen Reilly Minis Parent’s Lunch
  • Saturday/Sunday April 15th/16th 2023  The OBRFC u6-u9 Minis Blitz - Proudly sponsored by Rhino
  • May Bank Holiday weekend - u12 Tour Away 
  • Sunday 23rd April 2023 - end of season (There will be some blitz after this date for some of our older age grades).


Minis Events: March and April 2022

On Friday 25th of March, we had The Cafico International Minis Parent's Lunch. A Huge Thank You to all our sponsors.


The OBRFC Mini Blitz is on the 9th & 10th of April, sponsored by Gore & Grimes LLP.  This is a huge event organised by the club for our u6-9's. We are delighted to be able to add our u8 girls to this event for 2022. This is a massive Blitz with over 2,000 children due to attend.


Finally, we will end the season on the 24th of April, with an ice-cream van for our younger age groups. There may be some away blitz running into May, our coaches will be in touch.


Events Include:

  • The Minis Christmas Party - This is a fun family day normally held in December, with teas and coffees for parents, pizza and selection boxes for children, and a toy collection for St. Vincent De Paul.
  • The Minis annual Parents lunch - This is a great way to meet other parents and generally help support your club. Tickets sell out fast and there are great auction and raffle prizes on the day.
  • The OBRFC Minis Blitz - This is a huge annual event and it attracts clubs from all around. It is the highlight of our calendar year and kids are guaranteed a great day out. Every entrant receives a goody bag, with drink, treats and a gift. BBQ food and bouncy castles also available for a fee.   • End of season BBQ - held at the end of April in OBRFC.
