The club had another webinar with Andy Dunne in conversation with Sir Ian McGeechan, the former Scotland and Lions coach. last night; a real privilege!

We got a great insight into Ian's coaching philosophy; the story about Scotland's successful approach on 'Grand Slam' day v England in March 1990, when Ian was coach to Scotland. He also told us about the forwards strategy adopted by Jim Telfer and himself on the Lions tour of South Africa in 1997. This was a major factor in the series win, for the Lions, with Irishmen, Keith Wood, Paul Wallace, Jeremy Davision & Eric Miller very much to the fore in the test team and key parts of the forwards strategy. Really interesting!

With Andy's easy, approachable and knowledgeable style, the conversation flowed and the time flew. Thanks again to Sir Ian for giving us the pleasure of his company, in a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
