New 2021 Season of Old Belvedere Minis

Welcome back to the new 2021 Season of Old Belvedere Minis.

What a great opening day of the new season. It was great to see all the action back in Ollie Campbell Park. With restrictions easing we hopefully will have a more enjoyable year all round.

I am very excited to take on the role of Chairman and look forward to building on the success of all the previous chairmen who have built such a great minis section within the club.

I would like to especially thank Niall Mc Carthy for his time and immense contribution during his role as Chairman and during his years of coaching teams within the minis.

A Special thanks to Paula, our minis co-ordinator, and Leanne, our CWO, for all the preseason work which goes on behind the scenes to get us to the opening day of the season. Thanks also to the minis committee – David Mac Nicholas (Treasurer), Rory Quirke, Stephen Glynn and Ronan Tarrant for volunteering their time in the off season and throughout the coming year.

Thanks to the Head Coaches and all the coaches that volunteer their time to make sure all the players enjoy their Sunday mornings. Without their time we would not have such a successful minis section.

We extend a very warm welcome to the new players who join the minis this year and we endeavor to make sure your player develops their skills within a fun and safe environment and build fond memories of playing with Old Belvedere Minis.

We welcome, William O’Sullivan, a former OB mini, as Head coach of the Under 13’s and wish him the best of success in the coming year. I would like to thank all the coaches involved with the 13’s since 2014 for their dedication and commitment.

Wishing our ever-growing girls, ladies, and youth teams the very best for the season also.

I look forward to meeting with you at some stage during the season and would welcome any questions or suggestions you may have that can keep our minis section developing.

This year we have the balcony area and bar open for refreshments on Sunday mornings and would ask that parents support the club in this venture.
