Firstly a huge thank you to all our coaches, Ty helpers and parents who pulled off our biggest Blitz ever on the back of Covid. The sun shone, the promised rain stayed away and we had some great mini matches.

The feedback from all the visiting teams has been overwhelmingly positive.

We had 206 teams from 28 clubs over the Leinster area. Close to 2,300 children, 450 coaches plus numerous parents and siblings. The amount of behind the scene work that went on was massive, and we couldn't have done it without the help of our TY's. We are really hoping now that everyone has seen the size of the event that we can get more parents on board next season to help out.

A massive thank you to 2 mums Suzanne O'Shaughnessy and Carol Meehan for taking on the BBQ station today. Feeding over 1,300 children. (and some parents!)

A huge thank you to Stephen McGovern, Richard Kearney and Daren Gibney, David Coyne, Brian Carr, Damien Meade, Mark Naughton, Karl Manweiller, Andrew Howley, Sinead Keary and Shane Murphy for acting as pitch coordinators. They kept the 2 days moving. A special thank you to Declan Merry, one of the girls dad's who kindly stepped in to help out as one of the u6 pitch coordinators at the last minute.

Finally, to Nick Fingleton, our Chairman who gave up his much coveted golf weekend to man the Tannoy for the whole weekend, as well as all the Head Coaches and coaches of the u6,7,8,9 & girls coaches who set up, cleared up and finally (after 2 years of lockdown) got to see the children all out having fun, and playing rugby!
