2024/25 Club Captains, Coaches & Management
Your 2024/25 Club Captains are Calum Dowling and Lesley Ring.
Calum has been a playing member of the club since he was 6 years old and previously captained two McCorry Cup winning Old Belvedere Under 20’s teams. He has been the top try scorer for the Seniors for the last two years and is very much a leader from the front. He has also shown commitment to the club in his coaching role of the OB Under 13’s over the last couple of seasons.
Lesley is a formidable presence on and off the pitch and the women's Club Captain for the 2nd year. Since joining in 2017, Ring has embodied the true essence of a club woman. She is widely acknowledged as one of the best defenders in the AIL and etched her name in Old Belvedere's history last season as the first women's player to reach 100 Belvo caps. The Sligo native joins the Connacht squad for the 2024 Vodafone Interprovincial Championships. In addition to her on-field achievements, she sits on both the general club and women's committee, demonstrating her dedication to the club's broader community.
