Old Belvedere RFC fields two women’s teams. Our 1st XV is in the All Ireland League (AIL) and our J1’s play in the Leinster Women’s League Div 1. Players range from beginners to internationals, with support to develop at every level. Our ethos is to develop every player to the level that they aspire to play at, whether that’s for fun, to make friends or to play on the international stage. 

Founded by former UCD women’s rugby players, the women’s section celebrates its 31st anniversary in 2025. This season marks our 17th consecutive year in the AIL and our 13th in Leinster competition. We maintain a strong connection with UCD, with many players representing both Belvo and ‘Collidge’ throughout the year.

In the past the women’s 1st XV have won the AIL three times and the Js have won the Leinster League. Prior to attaining Division 1 status, the club won the Division 2 League title and Paul Flood Cup.

All players benefit from free gym access, position-specific S&C, and physio clinics.
