BEFORE YOU BOOK PLEASE BE AWARE of these rules:

-BOOK THE CORRECT SIZE — OR PAY UPGRADE FEE + €250 (IF SPACE ALLOWS)
Book the Correct Vehicle Size — Strictly Enforced
Vehicles must be booked into the correct length category (measured end-to-end).
If your vehicle exceeds the size booked:
Accommodation is highly unlikely, and
If (and only if) space is available:
You will be charged the applicable upgrade fee, plus a €250 misrepresentation charge.
If we cannot accommodate your vehicle:
Entry will be refused
No refund will be issued.

-No trailer boxes will be admitted to our ground due to surface damage caused by trailer parking in the past.

-Day rates will be subject to weather conditions and availability.

-All parking will be at the discretion of the site manager.

-Any parking requests/rates outside of the above categories will be at the discretion of the site manager and can only be arranged at the gate on arrival.

-We ask for your cooperation as we endeavour to protect our ground and ensure a secure and enjoyable environment for all our visitors.

FAQ’s

  1. Why should I park at Old Belvedere RFC? Old Belvedere RFC is the closest parking facility to RDS Simmonscourt
  2. Why is OBRFC the best location for access to and from the RDS? We have a pedestrian access gate to RDS Simmonscourt which is operated by the RDS / for details see below. As OBRFC does not control the pedestrian access gate it is imperative that you acquire the relevant pass from the RDS oƯicials, for unimpeded access to and from our ground.
  3. How do I get in to OBRFC with my Truck/Caravan/Car? Our gate to vehicular traffic is located on Ailesbury Grove, Dublin 4
  4. How early/late can I get in/out of OBRFC with my vehicle? The vehicular access gate is open from 8am and 12 midnight. If you hold parking pass for the week you may use this gate from 6am daily. Pre booked parking passes are valid for the full week of the Horse Show – from Monday to Sunday.
  5. How do I book in advance to be sure I will get a parking space? A parking pass for the week may be purchased by using the link above.
  6. Can I pay at the gate when I arrive? Day/overnight parking passes AND week passes can be purchased at the gate during Horse Show Week, however, if you are planning to stay for the week, we recommend that you book in advance. To reserve your parking, click on the link above. Note: The day/overnight parking spots are only allocated on a first come first served basis and are subject to dry weather conditions.   7. I didn’t see an option to book my box trailer in. Can I park my trailer in OBRFC? Trailers cannot be booked in advance this year and will only be accepted, should we have adequate space, Saturday and Sunday (subject to availability, weather conditions and on a first come first served basis)
  8. Can I pitch my tent in OBRFC? The erection of tents is not permitted
  9. I could just sleep in the trailer or car, couldn’t I? Sleeping in box trailers is not permitted. Sleeping in cars/jeeps will be charged at caravan/motorhome rates
  10. Can I bring my horse/dog/pet monkey with me? No animals (of any type) are permitted in our sports ground 1
  11. Do you provide Electric ‘Hook up’? Electric ‘Hook Up’ is not provided. The use of small, quiet generators is permitted but they must be switched off by midnight.

Note that: Pavilion membership is temporarily awarded to all those who reserve parking in OBRFC for the Dublin Horse Show 2025. Therefore, parking in our club indicates acceptance of all our club rules and regulations.

PEDESTRIAN ACCESS GATE The RDS control the opening and closing of this link/pedestrian access gate to Old Belvedere RFC and have supplied the following information:

  • Monday & Tuesday: 07:00 – 19:00
  • Wednesday & Thursday: 07:00 – 19:30
  • Friday to Sunday:  07:00 – 20:00
    In addition, night security will be present from Monday night through Saturday to allow for restricted access in the case of emergencies, such as an injured horse requiring a vet.
