The club wishes the very best of luck to Erin King and the Ireland 7s Women’s team ahead of their opening Olympic games this coming Sunday 28th July in Paris. The 20-year-old joined Belvo back in 2020 having already displayed enormous talent for the sport. She was soon identified as a Player of National Interest and invited to join the Ireland Sevens program in January 2021. She made her senior rugby sevens debut at the Dubai Sevens in December that year.

King scored her first try for Ireland in a match against Canada in Toulouse in 2022 and was also part of the squad for the World Cup Sevens in 2022. In May 2023, the team secured qualification with a 10-5 victory over Fiji in the semi-final of the World Rugby Sevens Series. She participated in this pivotal match and accumulated a brilliant 104 appearances in the World Series.
