Dear Members,
The 2025/26 Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship gets underway today Sunday, August 10th, with Old Belvedere RFC once again well represented across multiple provinces.
Our players will take to the field in both fixtures Leinster v Ulster at Energia Park (2.30pm) and Munster v Connacht at Virgin Media Park (4.15pm).
Leinster v Ulster – Energia Park, 2.30pm
Defending champions Leinster begin their campaign under new head coach Ben Martin, with Molly Boyne taking over as captain and Belvo’s Jade Gaffney named vice-captain. Gaffney is joined in the starting XV by Lisa Callan at hooker, Katie Layde at loosehead prop, and Jane Neill in the back row.
The bench also carries plenty of Belvo firepower, with Clodagh Dunne, Emma Kelly, Ellie O’Sullivan Sexton, and Katie Corrigan all named as replacements. Their inclusion means eight Old Belvedere players will feature for Leinster in Round 1, underlining the club’s influence within the province’s setup.
Munster v Connacht – Virgin Media Park, 4.15pm
In the second game of the day, Belvo will be represented in Connacht colours. Club Captain Lesley Ring starts at flanker, bringing her trademark work rate and defensive strength to the back row. She is joined in the matchday squad by Hannah Rapley, who will be earning her first cap for the province, a fantastic milestone in her rugby career and development through the club.
How to Watch
Both matches will be streamed live on the Spórt TG4 YouTube channel, with Leinster v Ulster kicking off at 2.30pm and Munster v Connacht following at 4.15pm.
