Dear Members,
Last weekend’s 2025 Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Finals Day at Energia Park saw Old Belvedere players proudly involved across three provinces in both fixtures.
In the 3rd–4th place play-off, newly signed Belvo winger Hannah Clarke was the standout, crossing for two tries, including the decisive score in the 76th minute, which sealed Connacht’s third place victory. Club Captain Lesley Ring also started at openside flanker, returning strongly after injury and bringing her trademark work rate to the team’s performance. Hannah Rapley, another Belvo player in Connacht colours, featured earlier in the campaign, adding further Belvo influence to their journey.
The Championship Final saw Munster lift their first title since 2023 with a 50–15 win over Leinster. Belvo’s Deirbhile Nic a Bháird was outstanding, scoring two tries in a commanding Munster performance.
Defending champions Leinster featured strong Belvo representation throughout their campaign, with Vice-Captain Jade Gaffney joined by Katie Layde, Katie Whelan, Katie Corrigan, Hannah Wilson, Clodagh Dunne, Ellie O’Sullivan Sexton, Kara Mulcahy, Katelynn Doran, Jane Neill, Lisa Callan, and Emma Kelly all representing the club with pride in blue. Katie Whelan made her mark in the final with two tries, a bright finish to Leinster’s campaign.
To cap it all off, the championship trophy was presented to the victorious Captain Maeve Óg O’Leary by Tony O’Beirne, IRFU Senior Vice President and a proud Belvo man.
We are immensely proud to have had such strong Belvo involvement both on and off the pitch throughout this year’s championship.
