Fiona Hayes Appointed of New Women’s Head Coach

Old Belvedere RFC is excited to announce the appointment of Fiona Hayes as the new head coach of our women’s team.

Fiona joins us with an exceptional record both as a player and as a coach. A former Ireland international prop, Fiona was part of the historic squads that won the Women’s Six Nations Grand Slam in 2013 and the championship again in 2015.

Following her distinguished playing career, Fiona transitioned seamlessly into coaching. She recently guided UL Bohemian to back-to-back Energia All-Ireland League titles, while also serving as head coach of the Munster Women’s team in the Interprovincial Championship, further demonstrating her commitment to excellence and player development at the highest level.

Beyond her on-field achievements, Fiona has contributed significantly to developing youth and academy players within the provincial system. Her blend of elite playing experience, impressive coaching track record, and commitment to nurturing talent makes her an outstanding addition to Old Belvedere RFC as we begin an exciting new chapter under her leadership.
